Giving Back – Community Service

Community Involvement

Working Together For The Betterment Of Everyone

As Co-Founders of the Business Acceleration Group we deeply believe in the power of collaboration and the importance of giving back to the community that supports us. We understand that a thriving community benefits everyone, and we are proud to be actively involved in several local and national organizations. Our commitment extends beyond our business endeavors, reflecting our personal values and our desire to make a positive impact.
Here are some of the organizations our co-founders are involved with:
  • National Charity League, Livermore - Laurie Pearce: Demonstrating a commitment to philanthropic work through hands-on volunteerism and leadership development within the Livermore chapter of this esteemed national organization. • Tri-Valley Haven Board of Directors - Laurie Pearce: Serving on the board of this vital local organization dedicated to providing safety, support, and resources to individuals and families affected by domestic violence, sexual assault, and homelessness in the Tri-Valley area.
  • President, National Speakers Association - Maile Collmer: Through her leadership role in the National Speakers Association, Maile contributes to the professional development and ethical standards of speakers nationwide, often sharing her expertise and insights with the broader community.
  • Young Audiences of Northern California, Board Member - Don Wexler: Through bringing arts into the schools, we help K-12 students stay engaged in their educational experience without feeling isolated, incapable, and indifferent ... so they can feel confidedent, recognized, and motivated leading them to become happy and successful adults.
  • Are They Abusive, Board Member - Don Wexler: Working to create a national database, similar to Meagan's Law, of those who have a history of violence and have had a restraining order or orders upheld against them. Whether entertaining the idea of commencing a romantic relationship, hiring a babysitter, checking out the coach of your child’s team, or other life circumstance, being able to easily obtain a history of an individual relative to past violent behavior can literally be a matter of life and death.
In addition to our involvement with these organizations, we are also proud founders of the Business Acceleration Group where we foster a collaborative environment for entrepreneurs and small business owners. We believe that by actively participating and contributing to these important causes, we can help build a stronger, more resilient, and more supportive community for everyone.
